- A journey to the self
OneSelf is a communication design approach that builds a bridge between psychological knowledge and audiences. Oneself transforms ideas of self-knowledge into visual languages and uses an interactive card game format to lead the audience to explore and sharing their self-knowledge more systematically.
When I want to answer this question, my first thought is that I have thick lips and curly hair.
In addition, I also think about what kind of person I am, such as what I like and what abilities I have, who I want to be, and my emotion, personality, and position.
Everyone has a different understanding of the self, which also complicates the "self."
To find a visual language to express the self, I started my design experiment.
During the project A Narrative of Self, I tried to use some reflection phenomena in nature to map some internal changes. So, I created some 3d animation to tell six narratives.
To track changes in inner emotions, personality, and self-perception over time, I made a "one-week" note to record these changes. Then, I created a mental roller coaster based on the" one-week notes," which was aimed to create an experience of "The Journey In Mind."

This is a quote from a Oneself player. After researching the subject of "self," I found no right or wrong on the path of self-actualization. OneSelf helps people understand themselves more systematically through visual approaches and provide a place to listen and share self-narratives to help choose their self-journey.
