- Elevating Design Consistency Across Transportation Platforms
As the sole Product Designer on the Reflexions UX Library project, I created a comprehensive design system to support multiple transportation platforms, including OMNY (One Metro New York) and MDOT (Maryland Department of Transportation). The system empowers designers to launch new features faster, ensures UI consistency, and improves overall team productivity.
Designers struggled to launch new features quickly due to repeated design efforts and inconsistent components across transportation products.
Defined foundational styles such as color palette, type hierarchy, and layout grids to create a consistent visual language across all Reflexions projects.
Standardized interaction elements to promote usability and design harmony. These components ensured consistency across UI touchpoints.
Built a library of 216 list item variations to accommodate different use cases, enabling designers to scale feature design with flexibility.
Developed reusable user flow templates and annotation patterns to help teams visualize and document interactions efficiently.
Showcased how the design system was applied in real-world wireframes, enabling fast UX iterations and collaborative design reviews.
This approach aligned with Reflexions' current website identity, using bold red and black tones to maintain brand continuity.
Took visual cues from the design details inside MDOT buses, integrating familiarity and user context into the interface.
Explored a more vibrant, playful visual language to connect with younger audiences in future-facing transportation apps.
